"Happy first day of summer! Educate yourself about UV Index anywhere around the world with Ultraviolet." – @AppStore Twitter

Excessive exposure to Ultraviolet radiation can have severe effects on your health, from sunburns, eye damage, skin aging to the big oh-no: skin cancer. Thats why its important to take measures to protect yourself and knowing the current radiation level is the first step to preventing harm.

Going outside? A quick glance at the vibrantly glowing, color coded interface will tell you what level of protection you need.

Please note that there are no correlation between UV index and temperature. So, even the temperature is low, it doesnt mean the UV index is low as well, and vice versa.

Pros and cons of Ultraviolet ~ UV Index app for iPhone and iPad

Ultraviolet ~ UV Index app good for

Serves it purpose perfectly while looking stunning at the same time.
Such a great design and usefull little app - and for free! Great job!
Decent little App, if its accurate. Cant tell if it is though.
Love this app. Perfect for someone who has sun sensitivity. Works very well.
Wish using gps wasnt the only way to see the index. Id like to see the uv index in other places.
I just wish that it would give me the uv forecast for the day. It only seems to give the uv for the current time and noon the next day. If you check at 7, and you need to know what its like out, itll tell you the uvs really low. Then you check it at noon and find out that you really shouldve been wearing sunscreen. Its a bit deceptive.

Some bad moments

Tried downloading this app twice and it takes forever so I have up and deleted it!
Good design, but it is a drag if you are traveling or you want to view two cities everyday. You cant save multiple Cities in the app.
This application is so simple its boring. I installed a Canadian one that I like much more - it includes the current temperature and has the same UV report as Enviornment Canada. This application was 2 points lower.
For Canada seemed to only supply forecasted high uv not current uv. Worse was the fact that it only pulls data based on your current location.
Ads are extremely annoying, they keep popping up, deleted right away.
Would not load my location, even though I live in a major metropolitan area. Also kept asking me to purchase ad removals, so I couldnt get any of the app to do anything. Deleted immediately.
