Ultraviolet ~ UV Index App Reviews

If you want to know what the current UV level is or what the high level will be tomorrow then this app is fine. But if you are heading out for the day and want to know if you need light or heavy protection forget it. At 7am it will say 1-Low. This app is not what I was looking for - I would like current as well as forecast. They obviously have access to that data as they show tomorrows forecast. Why cant they show todays forecast, too?

Ive used this app or several years with no problem until now...It seems to be stuck on # 9 but its in the middle of the night.

4 out of 5 times it never receives data. Useless.

Loved this app

We spend lots of time on the lake, and my kids hate sunscreen. I use this app to convince them to wear it. When the prompting comes from the UV app, they believe it. Whatever is necessary to protect us all! :)

This app is great! Its a quick reference guide no matter where I am. I always wear 50spf but, the uv gives me a good idea how often to reapply

Works great. Would be ideal if it displayed todays max UV forecast alongside tomorrows.

This App is great, it tells me exactly how strong the sunlight is during the day as I can not be outside for a long time. Its great, Really great, just, really great, Great.

Its ok, but it doesnt show up in the today screen! Missed opportunity because I like to use that screen to have a quick glance at what the day is going to be like with pollen, uv, temperature, traffic etc.

Open the app any time of day that you wanna know the uv index

I experienced the "Error Loading Data" message also and the app wouldnt work for me. But after I rebooted my phone, that error message went away and the app started working. In terms of the usefulness of the app, I agree with the reviewer who said that the app isnt that helpful because it only gives you the current UV status and doesnt give you the UV forecast for the day. If youre viewing the app at 6am, it doesnt tell you what the UV exposure throughout the day will be, so it really isnt useful with helping you to plan your day.

Never worked. Opened it up and even paid to remove adds! It always has error message!

every single time Ive tried to use the app in the last month it says error loading data.

The app is very buggy right now. It has not worked for over a week. Today it is reporting that we have a current UV index of 9. It is 6:30 in the morning and overcast. And Seriously? The ads have been moved to the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom?

love using this for when I should layout and tan. Also when I travel:)

Use every day!

Its 7pm and the UV index is 7. It should be a 2 or 3 per local weather.

A very helpful app for me I have fair skin so I burn very easy

Id like to see this app list the UV by days or even hours so I can plan my days better.
